In Marathi, Report Writing is called वृत्तलेखन (Vruttalekhan) when referring to a news report, or अहवाल लेखन (Ahval Lekhan) when referring to a formal or project report.
वृत्तलेखन म्हणजे घडून गेलेल्या घटनेची वस्तुस्थिती दर्शक माहिती देणे. एखादी घटना, कार्यक्रम किंवा समारंभ कसा पार पडला, याचा सविस्तर आणि अचूक वृत्तांत म्हणजेच वृत्तलेखन होय. (It means providing factual information about an event that has occurred.)
Format of Report Writing in Marathi (वृत्तलेखनाचा आराखडा)
A standard Marathi news report for exams follows this structure:
- शीर्षक (Headline) - The title should be attractive and short.
- बातमीदाराकडून (Source) - "आमच्या प्रतिनिधीकडून" (By our representative).
- स्थळ व दिनांक (Place and Date) - e.g., "पुणे, १५ ऑगस्ट".
- प्रस्तावना (Introduction/Lead) - Main summary of the event (काय घडले?).
- विस्तृत बातमी (Body) - Detailed explanation (कसे घडले, कोणी आयोजित केले?).
