Massive Fire Breaks Out in Local Market

New Delhi, 14 October:
A massive fire broke out in the crowded Sarojini Nagar market late last night, gutting at least 15 shops. Fortunately, no casualties were reported as the market was closed at the time.
The fire department received a call at 11:30 PM. Five fire tenders rushed to the spot and it took them nearly three hours to bring the blaze under control. Preliminary investigations suggest that a short circuit in a textile shop caused the fire.
The local authorities have promised compensation to the affected shopkeepers and ordered a safety audit of the area.

Annual Sports Day Celebrated with Grandeur

Mumbai, 20 December:
St. Xavier's High School celebrated its 25th Annual Sports Day on December 19th in the school playground. The event was inaugurated by the City Police Commissioner, who was the Chief Guest for the day.
The day began with a spectacular march past by all four houses, followed by the lighting of the sports torch. Students participated in various track and field events including 100m sprint, relay races, and long jump.
The Blue House emerged as the overall champion. The Chief Guest distributed medals to the winners and delivered an inspiring speech on the importance of physical fitness.
